Charge and Discharge Performance Advantages for the Ensurge Solid-State Microbattery
What is battery charge/discharge, and why is it important?
Electronic gadgets have become so commonplace, that we almost take them for granted. And because our electronic gadgets are typically powered by rechargeable batteries, battery recharging has also become commonplace. Let's take a look at that charging process in more detail, and how the Ensurge microbattery improves upon conventional lithium-ion (Li-ion) and lithium polymer (Li-poly) battery performance.
What is Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing Process and How it Helps?
What is Roll-to-Roll manufacturing?
Roll-to-Roll manufacturing, in its simplest form, is the continuous process of unrolling a flexible substrate onto an assembly line and then depositing, cleaning, patterning, or otherwise modifying materials on that substrate. Throughout this process, the intended structures are built up one layer at a time. At the end of the process, the roll substrate has a finished product layered on it, at which point it may be re-rolled. Hence the "Roll-to-Roll" description. This is the same approach that is still in use today in the printing industry, which must print hundreds of thousands of papers every day as quickly, accurately, and efficiently as possible.
